Sweet Memory – Reclaimed Icons Series

Sweet Memory is an original oil painting from my Reclaimed Icons series — a body of work that transforms everyday consumer objects into quiet relics of routine, nostalgia, and personal memory.

This piece depicts a Nutella jar, painted slowly in multiple layers to capture the subtle reflections on the glass, the creamy texture inside the jar, and the familiar warmth of a universally loved icon.
What was once a simple product becomes a still moment — preserved, magnified, and stripped of its function.

The artwork reflects on the traces objects carry: childhood rituals, shared breakfasts, small comforts repeated over years.
Here, the Nutella jar becomes a symbol of affection and memory, rather than consumption.
